The Dotty Green Story

As a former competitive golfer turned casual player, I’ve spent the last 10 years using a rangefinder and realized just how important it is to know exact distances. Traditional rangefinders, watches, and apps all give you the yardages—except when you’re on the green.

That’s why I created Dotty Green. Whether it's to help with lag-putting, closest to the pin, or figuring out who's away, knowing distances in feet and inches is just as important as yards. Our goal? To keep golf fun, fast, and take the guesswork out of the game.

FAQ

Will this replace my range finder, GPS watch, or phone app?

No, the DG-100 complements those devices. While they work well from a distance, they lose accuracy within 5 yards of the pin. Dotty Green bridges that gap on the most important part of the course—the green.

How far will Dotty Green measure?
  • The DG-100 uses a visible laser, so conditions like wind and sunlight can affect readings (thanks, Mother Nature). It works best up to ~40 feet, and in ideal conditions, can measure beyond 60 feet. If conditions are tough, we recommend using the 'Pin Affix' to measure from the flagstick back to the divot tool directly behind your ball.
How do I know I'm measuring correctly?
  • A visible laser guides your aim, and the LCD displays the distance. One beep confirms the measurement, while two beeps mean you'll need to retake it due to movement or interference.
Can Dotty Green measure in meters?
